CoursesRH Associates has established a positive reputation for short courses in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in education. The Foundation stage, KS1 and KS2 Courses and the Secondary Courses are designed to match the curriculum and allow practioners to put skills learned immeditely into action in the classroom setting. The Student Workshops are innovative, interactive workshop sessions delivered to groups of students and their teachers. Practitioners from RH Associates agree the outline of a 1, 2, or even 3 day scenario based, ICT laden problem solving event with key staff, often taking into account current Developmental issues relating to ICT. For example, courses can be tailored to include more use of Web 2.0 technologies provided in a recently installed Learning Platform, or the use of SmartNotebook will be focussed upon as Interactive Whiteboards have recently been installed. At the end of the workshop sessions, not only will students feel invigorated and have their ICT skills tested to the max, but teachers will have embedded the techniques and have developed the confidence to implement them in other curriculum areas/with other groups of students. Whenever appropriate, we use the hardware and software already purchased by schools in an attempt for the school to gain the best from their investment, as well as introducing new and innovative ideas.
